We are now taking reservations for bulk orders of grass-fed beef for delivery in the fall of 2021!

Our cattle are the foundation of our holistic farming system that mimics nature in a way that builds fertility in the soil, treats the animals humanely, and produces healthy food.
In the spring, summer, and fall we move our cattle every day to graze in a fresh paddock of our pasture. The cattle trample what they don’t eat, leaving behind plenty of organic material to feed earthworms and other organisms and to return nutrients to the soil. We provide free-choice certified organic minerals such as salt, iodine, potassium and calcium. We do not treat our cattle with hormones or antibiotics.
Our cattle have never tasted corn, corn silage, brewer’s grain, or any other kind of concentrated grain. We do not even use grain for “handling” them. We buy weaned calves only from like-minded farmers whom we know and trust, and we require our suppliers to agree to our “never-ever” protocol.
Whole Side of Beef
The first option for bulk ordering is a whole side of beef, custom cut, for $6.50 per pound on the hanging weight. (Note: the finished cut weight will be 30-40 percent less than hanging weight, depending on how you fill out your cut sheet and how much bone and fat is discarded by the butcher.) For example: a 300 lb side of beef would cost $1,950. It would yield somewhere around 180-210 pounds and require about 9 cubic feet of freezer space. Sides of beef can range from 250-350+ lbs. While we will do our best to match you with your preferred size, we cannot guarantee a specific weight.
To reserve a side, please fill out our 2021 Beef Order Form and send a deposit of $650 to Normanton Farms, 226 Charles Bancroft Hwy, Litchfield, NH 03052. Deposits are due by March 31st, payment plans are available. The balance (calculated from the hanging weight) will be due at time of delivery.
Note: When you order a whole side of beef, you get to decide how you want the butcher to cut it up. Before your butchering date, we will send you our butcher’s beef cut sheet to fill it out.
Beef Sampler Package, 45-50 lb., $11 per pound
The second option is a beef sampler package, containing approximately 20 pounds of ground beef, three rib steaks, two NY strip steaks, one package of tenderloin medallions, one top sirloin steak, one sirloin tip steak, one chuck roast, one round roast, and 6-8 lbs of utility cuts (stew meat, soup shank, short ribs). It will require about 2 cubic feet of freezer space.

Deposits are due by March 31st, payment plans are available. The balance will be due at delivery in the fall and will be calculated based on the weight received.

Please note: all our beef is processed under continuous USDA inspection. All our beef is dry aged, then cut and flash frozen in vacuum sealed, labelled packages.
Do your kielbasa and hot dogs contain nitrates or HFCS?
The kielbasa and hot dogs are nitrate free and contain no HFCS.
Are your hot dogs or kielbasa in pork casings?
Hot dogs are in lamb casings, and Kielbasa are pork casings!

The chickens are whole. They usually range from 3-5 lbs dressed.
So you have beef suet available for rendering? I’d like to make my own tallow for cooking.
Is it too late to order 35lbs for the Fall 2015 season?
Amy, We are sold out for the fall but can put you on our wait list for first available next year if you’d like. There may be some available in late winter (March). Our order form for 2016 will be out in January. Make sure and sign up for our newsletters to get that form as soon as it’s available!
Interested in making a forever life health change. Is there a wait list on the chicken? How much typically in bulk? Can we just stop bye or should we call first?
We have chickens available in the freezer right now! You can stop by during our store hours or give us a call. We have bulk pricing available for orders of over 20 or over 40 chickens.
Do you offer hanger steak?
Hi Jack, We do not offer it as a retail cut, however, it is an option when buying a side of beef. If you take the hanger steak, then the rest of the chuck will be in the form of boneless cuts.

No, sorry Brenda. Our ground beef does vary depending on the animal, but is generally pretty lean.
Hello! I see you have organ meats – liver and heart. Do you also have kidney and thymus for sale? Is there a particular time of the year it is available?

Hi Robert, We do often have kidneys but are unable to get the thymus from the butcher. We may have a kidney or two available now, but the fall would be the time when we have the most.
Do you still have beef for 2018? And if so can I grab it at the farm? Also, when do you accept orders for a half for 2019?
Hi Liz! We have a pretty good variety of individual cuts in the store this week, but steaks are going fast as always! More will be coming in throughout the next few months. The 2019 ordering information will likely come out in January.
Is liver or cow tongue available with sampler package?
Not in the sampler package, but we do sell them as a separate item when they are available. Send us an email or write a note on your order form what you would like and we can put you on our list to be notified when we get them.
