We are now taking reservations for pasture and organic raised chicken for 2021!
Our chickens live out on the pasture! We buy them as day-old chicks, and care for them in a brooding house for their first three weeks. In the brooding house, they are sheltered from the weather and from predators, and we feed them certified organic feed with no antibiotics or hormones. At three weeks, once they are big enough, we put them out onto pasture, where they spend their days chasing after bugs and eating green plants as well as the certified organic feed we give them. The resulting meat chicken is incredibly delicious and good for you, and their days out on the pasture give back a bounty of fertilizer for our soil.
Quantities are limited, and it is first-ordered-first-served, so please order as early as possible to avoid missing out. Again this year, we are excited to offer the option to have your chickens cut up for you in vacuum sealed packages, as well as whole roasting birds!
Customers are encouraged to “flock” together with friends to share in the pick-up duties and to achieve volume discounts. We are raising our pastured chickens in five batches this summer, approximately once per month from June to Ocstober. To order, please fill out our 2021 Chicken Order Form ( or updated version –2021 Chicken Order Form) and mail or email it back to us. Your order will be reserved for you as soon as we receive your deposit. For planning purposes, we will need your order and deposit by March 31st. Payment plans are available.
